SSPL Company Profile

SSPL has established resilience in complex, path-breaking research areas. It has achieved global FDA accreditations and has strong partnerships with leading universities.

MongoDB’s adoption of SSPL (announced earlier this week) has created a lot of buzz. However, the real problem with this license isn’t that it locks down MongoDB.

Ship Building

SSPL operates in an industry dominated by a few prominent players. The contracting mechanism is largely tender-based, with prequalification criteria based on track record and physical infrastructure. The company’s business certainty depends on its ability to bid for tenders and execute orders successfully. Clearances and changes from customers also impact it. The company’s high order book and significant defense work can slacken the pace of order execution.

A shipbuilding-specific PLM platform gives the entire team active control of change through workflows and permissions. It categorizes changes appropriately and notifies individuals who need to know when a change is released for production. This eliminates bottlenecks and helps to reduce the number of rework incidents due to inefficient change management processes.

Once a change has been categorized, the engineering department can continue to focus on the project while knowing that they are using accurate and up-to-date information. The shipbuilding-specific PLM also allows users to view the changes visually in 3D alongside any previous revisions.

ShipbuildingPLM can be easily configured to integrate with existing systems, eliminating disruption for the entire organization. This connectivity liberates the data that is already in place and allows the platform to act as a foundation for future innovation. This includes leveraging advanced technologies like AR, VR, or IoT. Better designs and materials have also allowed ships to have longer lifespans.

Ship Repair & Modification

Sspl ship repair and modification services are provided for a variety of types of vessels. These include cruise ships, bulk carriers, tankers, Ro-Ros, and general cargo ships. In addition to these, they also work on dredgers, LNG and LPG carriers, and ice breakers. They also provide underwater repairs for hull cracks and propulsion systems. Their teams are experienced and focused on delivering excellent service to their customers.

The company’s facilities are located in a bay, sheltered from wind, and able to handle large ships. The yard has three Seaway lock-size floating drydocks and a sizeable industrial division with three large fabrication shops, a Pipe Shop, and a well-equipped Machine Shop with CAD/CAM system and 16 computerized numerical controlled (CNC) machines.

SSPL offers a more sustainable repair and renewal solution than conventional steel plating. Its sandwich plate system uses a stainless-steel-elastomer composite with approved hot and cold work installation methods. It also allows for repairing corner areas and joints between decks, reducing fatigue and corrosion. It can also be used to strengthen existing decks for higher load capacities, which saves on costly replating and enables faster turnaround times than conventional solutions.

SPS Technology’s structural composite is also ideal for Citadel hardening and dropped object protection, as it can be installed without the need for drydocking. It can be used to reinforce and strengthen existing decks close to operational routes, preventing damage to cargo and reducing operating costs.

Marine Engineering Services

MSCorp offers a wide range of Marine Engineering Services, including design, logistical support, planning, and maintenance support. Their team of engineers specializes in design, technical, and computer-oriented support for the United States Government and commercial clients. Their expertise includes the design of main and auxiliary engines, generators, electrical systems, cargo heating, transfer systems, vapor control, ballast systems, and fire central systems.

The company has been in business since 1989 and possesses an experienced management team with a wealth of knowledge. The team focuses on providing high-quality services and value to its customers. They also strive to improve their technical competence and managerial skills.

SSPL is a private limited company. It was incorporated on 05 March 2021 and is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Its authorized capital is INR 5.00 lakh, and its paid-up capital is INR 0.00 lakh. The company has two directors and 1 reported key management person. Its registered office is located at B/9, Kailash Apartment, Co. Op. Housing Society, Nr. Juna Sharda Mandir, Paldi, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380009. This company is not listed in any directories.

Design and fabrication of Ships

Ships are exposed to a number of risks while sailing at sea, including unpredictable weather conditions and rough seas. These hazards can put both the crew members and cargo at risk of danger. Certified ship design and construction engineers know how to create vessels that can withstand these challenges. They also work to optimize the ships’ designs so that they are more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly.

Ship design is the first step in the shipbuilding process. During this phase, the designers of a new vessel determine its size and specifications using advanced software. This helps to ensure that all components of the ship will fit together. Once the basic design is complete, the planning and production department prepares a detailed progress schedule and fixes dates for completion of each stage in the build. The planning department will also prepare a berth in the shipyard and make arrangements for the requisite materials, labor, personnel, and machines.

The hull of the ship is then fabricated from steel plates. This is a complex process that requires a high level of skill and precision. The hull is then fitted with equipment and utilities, such as plumbing, electrical wiring, and machinery. The most advanced shipyards are able to pre-install these components in the blocks before they are taken to the building dock. This reduces the amount of labor required to assemble and attach them in the final stages of the shipbuilding process.
