Harkins Cinema at Scottsdale Fashion Square

1

On Friday night, Scottsdale Fashion Square was filled with the scent of popcorn when its Harkins Camelview Theater reopened for business after being closed since May 2017. Families, couples, and friends came out to attend this fun celebration at Scottsdale Fashion Square’s mall reopening of Harkins Camelview movie theatre.

This 14-screen cineplex will replace Fashion Square 7 and Harkins Camelview 5, both of which were closed by the mall to make way for it in 2015.

Harkins Fashion Square Cinema boasts many luxurious amenities, including Ultimate Lounger seating. Gourmet food offerings like Big Screen Burger and Crispy Chicken Sandwich can also be found there. In addition, guests can take advantage of a craft kitchen where custom menu items can be prepared on demand.

This theater was previously known as Harkins Camelview Plaza and is a five-screen movie complex that opened on June 17, 1973. It offers both first-run and art films.

At this upscale cinema, moviegoers can watch films on an outdoor projection screen atop a nearby parking garage. Two films will be shown this weekend: Hocus Pocus and The Goonies. Guests may bring blankets, chairs, and other amenities for enhanced movie-watching pleasure, with packaged snacks and drinks also being sold for purchase; unfortunately, Harkins loyalty cards won’t be honored here.

The theater is located at the north end of Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall, accessible via Highland Avenue or Scottsdale Road and featuring underground parking with an entrance from Scottsdale Road. Once inside, follow directional signs to reach its theater entrance.
