Harkins at Chandler Fashion Mall

Harkins Theatres was established in 1933 and is known for offering delicious buttered popcorn, refillable sodas, and blockbuster movies. Furthermore, they also host an annual summer movie program for children that lasts ten weeks.

This modern multiplex offers 20 auditoriums with stadium seating featuring Ultimate Loungers, digital projection and sound technology, wheelchair accessibility, and assisted listening devices as unique amenities.

Movies

Harkins Cinemas has operated for over 75 years, boasting affordable prices and top-of-the-line sound and projection technologies. Furthermore, their comfortable seats add enjoyment when watching a film at Harkins.

Dan Harkins began making changes to enhance customer experiences as soon as he took over. These included installing glow-in-the-dark carpet markers for guests navigating the theater and opening a PlayCenter that offered safe play for kids while their parents watched movies.

Harkins offers an expansive selection of movies on its Cine Capri screens – 70ft x 30ft or 21m x 9m – and its exclusive CINE BAR that serves wines and rotating craft beers from local breweries on tap.

This theatre boasts electronic reclining seats and Dolby Atmos 3D object-based audio technology; located near Chandler Fashion Square Mall. Designed by Level4 Studio (now part of HOK), although likely before Level4 existed.

Concessions

Chandler Fashion mall theatre offers a wide variety of snacks and beverages. Popcorn is always famous, and you can try something new like their Big Screen Burger or Crispy Chicken Sandwich. In addition, flatbreads, charcuterie boards, desserts, and more can also be ordered here.

This cinema is adjacent to Chandler Fashion Square Mall and features stadium seating with electronic reclining seats. There’s also a bar and children’s play center in its lobby; Cine 1 theatre room features 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos object-based sound for viewing pleasure.

Harkins Cinema also offers an impressive selection of movies and gourmet food and beverage concession stands. If you’re craving a burger, the Big Screen Burger may hit the spot; made with Angus beef topped with Tillamook cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and Thousand Island dressing served on a potato bun!

The theatre also houses a Crayola Experience Studio and new retailers such as SCHEELS. This upscale collection boasts 180 retailers like Apple, Lululemon Athletica, Dillard’s, Macy’s, and Urban Outfitters.

There’s also a bar and children’s play center in its lobby; ticket prices may be slightly higher than other local theaters, but their recliner seats make their additional costs worthwhile. Tickets can be bought either online or at their box office.

Chandler Fashion Mall theatres are popular destinations for families and tend to become busy on weekend afternoons. Luckily, ample parking is around the mall and within a short walking distance to your theatre experience.

Parking

Chandler Fashion Mall makes this theater easily accessible; parking can sometimes become limited near it on busy nights; however, there should be ample spots elsewhere within the mall area that provide adequate spaces. Travel time from parking should take approximately 10 minutes one way to and back again.

While the theater offers a broad selection of films, they also host special events like pop-up drive-ins and screenings of blockbusters such as Marvel’s Black Panther and Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back.

Although few details are known of the upcoming concept at Chandler Fashion Center, Macerich recently released a form 8-K to announce their plans to redevelop it into an entertainment concept. While Macerich released no specific information regarding its plans to do this, they announced they had signed a lease with Harkins Theatres for this space – longtime tenants with locations both in Arizona and California that feature stadium seating with electronic reclining seats as well as Dolby Atmos 3D object-based sound technology.
