Payless ShoeSource was another brand with affordable footwear offerings but filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year and shuttered nearly 2,500 stores throughout North America, including Capital City Mall’s location – while Things Remembered, another retailer, closed due to diminishing sales.
